2. I know everyone is really upset about Charlottesville and justifiably so. That being said, I would like to remind everyone who wants to go out and punch Nazis that assault is currently still illegal in the United States. If the person in question is a credible threat to your safety or the safety of others, then by all means, punch them in self-defense. But assaulting an unarmed person who isn’t currently engaged indirect violence, even if that person is a racist idiot like Richard Spencer, will still have legal ramifications that may be used against you. If you want a better approach to fighting extreme ideologies, then learn how to affectively persuade people to change their ideology without use of violence just as Martin Luther King Jr. dedicated his life to doing. As much as I despise these white supremacists being a third-generation Holocaust survivor, violence begets violence. Just being real.
