god not to beat a dead  horse but peak MOGAI tumblr is taking a Serious symptom of sexual trauma that is Absolutely Not a part of a healthy sex life and should be a sign that you should seek help. and calling it a sexuality

the comments on this post are absolutely horrendous and like… listen i was one of those “MOGAI” people too, i know how easily it is to get sucked into that nonsense but please at least just Try to think critically about these things?

like what im learning here is that people are still intensely threatened by any criticism of MOGAI identity politics, considering how fuckin desperate you all are to act like this is a nonissue that you ate up unsourced claims that this was from an obscure deviantart, or bait from an obvious troll, and then either ignoring the source i repeatedly linked or completely backtracking and claiming it doesnt matter if its from a 2k note post with many serious reblogs bc there isnt an active tag for it. 

like it doesnt  MATTER whether or not theres an active “dissociatsexual” community . my issue is not with this specifically, because i was never under the impression that more than a few people may be using this label. (tho there are more than a few people in the notes of this defending the concept of this sexuality lmao). the issue is a wider scale problem with the MOGAI community’s insistence on microidentities. there are dozens that PEOPLE ACTUALLY USE that are essentially symptoms of trauma, or especially of internalized homophobia, but instead it gets turned into a sexuality with a mindless chorus of “and thats valid!” 

there are literal THOUSANDS of people (including myself) who had their recovery, learning to cope, unlearning internalized homophobia, damaged by being stuck in the MOGAI community and being encouraged to call their symptoms sexualities, especially kids and young teens. like its fairly Universal in those of us who used to participate in the MOGAI community. X X

so like please just try to understand? this isnt even fuckin ace discourse this is genuine criticism of a trait of a community that has caused lasting harm to people. stop being so damn threatened.
